What kind of deposit do I need to rent a bike?
A valid credit card or valid driver’s license or passport is required for rental deposit.
How old do I need to be to rent a bike?
We welcome all ages but participants under the age of 16 must have a parent or legal guardian sign the Release from Liability form. Children must be at least 1 year old to ride in the child cart attachments.
Do you offer helmets and locks?
Yes we do, and we recommend that all participants wear a helmet. We require children under 16 years old to wear a helmet. Helmets and locks are included with the rental.
What should I wear and bring with me?
We recommend that you wear seasonally appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes, but feel free to wear whatever makes you comfortable. Most bikes are equipped with a handlebar bag to stash your keys, wallet and accessories. Don’t forget your sunglasses, sunscreen and camera!
Are there good spots to stop for food, beverages or sightseeing?
There are plenty of great spots to stop along the bike trails! We simply refer you to our new, self-guided tour map that showcases some of Pittsburgh’s best venues for food, beverages and sightseeing.
Do I need to make a reservation?
Reservations are ONLY taken for full day (or extended) rentals and for large groups. Hourly rentals are on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations can be made by clicking “Reserve Now” on our website and completing the reservation form. A knowledgeable member of our staff will then contact you regarding your reservation.
Are discounts available for my group?
Discounts are absolutely available for your group! We can customize a group tour to fit your group’s needs so please feel free to contact us to discuss all of your options. We look forward to assisting you!
What is your cancellation policy?
Participants are charged in full at the time the reservation is made. There is a 15% cancellation fee for reservations on bikes rented for The Great Allegheny Passage/C&O Canal trips. There are no refund for bikes reserved at the single day rate. You may reschedule your reservation, free of charge, to avoid cancellation fee or loss of rental fees.
